Choosing a counsellor to talk about your concerns

I am a professional trained counsellor with an integrative approach, using theories and techniques so that I can combine the most effective therapy for your individual needs. I focus on helping you explore feelings and emotions that are often related to your experiences, allowing you to reflect on what is happening to you. This can increase a sense of awareness and lead to effective change.

I help find clarity and awareness by supporting people to look at alternative ways of relating with different perspectives. Psychotherapy focuses on resolving long standing issues, helps to gain more understanding and can heal old wounds

I have previously worked for charities and within schools and now work independently as a private practice for adults, couples as well as children and young people.

My practice is based in Littlehampton and Worthing which offers a confidential, understanding and safe environment. In the first session we will explore your reasons for starting counselling/therapy and talk about how the sessions will benefit you in the future.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and bound by their code of ethics and policies. As part of my practice, I attend regular supervision to manage and improve my service. I am currently studying for a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy as well as a Diploma in Supervision.

“Having had two spells of counselling before I must admit it was with some trepidation when it was suggested by my works Occupational Health team that I should embark on another counselling journey.
The previous two counsellors were polar opposite – one wanted me to talk and if I didn’t then nothing was said. The other was talkative but we only ever discussed what had happened in that week and I will be honest I could have told anybody that for free.

Angela on the other hand has found the perfect balance and I have her to thank for helping turn me from a man lacking confidence, self-esteem and doubting every move he makes to a man now comfortable making decisions, able to sell himself and get back into the workplace recently feeling wanted and respected.

Angela worked from a clean, friendly environment and uses a mixture of discussions about the past, the present and the future to focus the mind. Having had family issues nagging in my sub conscious from childhood to date we have undergone over 40 years worth of personal history in 5/6 months to help turn me around. There will always be mental scars but Angela has healed more than I could ever imagine and has brought me even closer to my loved ones. She is thoroughly professional and keeps a perfect balance between therapist/client and has always encouraged me.

I would encourage people to discard any stigma about getting help. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t have “a past” and I cannot think of anyone better to help get you through things.

Thank you Angela.”
